Long-time MQHA friend and horse trainer Don Gunderson of New London, MN, passed away October 22, 2024, at the age of 87. He was working as a barber and training horses on the side in Brooten, MN, in 1971. He soon sold the barber shop and became a full time trainer near Belgrade, MN. Several years later he moved to Sunburg and trained and showed halter horses for Dallen and Glennis Peterson, and later for Jerry Bauerly. He also helped with several clinics and was active in the Minnesota futurities. (Submitted by Dr. Roland Wohlin)
